DESCRIPTION:6-7pm – Robb Henry and Jeff Perry\n \nRobb Henry (https://robbhenry.com/) received his first electric guitar in 1965 at the age of 12 and began performing with bands the following year.  His experience playing with blues artist Mojo Buford from early 1969 through 1970 had a lasting impact on his developing guitar style. In 2001 he formed the collective group Parisota Hot Club to explore the music of French guitarist Django Reinhardt.  Recent Robb Henry trio dates feature an eclectic mix of jazz\, blues\, rock and pop instrumentals played finger-style on his Fender Stratocaster.\n\nSt. Paul guitarist Jeff Perry has been described as “a fusion guitarist in the best sense of the word” (Twin Cities Blues News). He has been called “Fabulous…one of the Twin Cities’ best” by the Dakota Jazz Club and is known for his “hip retooling” (Star Tribune) of great pop songs. As a leader of the Sonic Dream trio and sideman\, Perry has played at many high-profile venues in the Twin Cities going back decades including Dakota\, Crooners\, Target Field\, Ordway Center for the Arts\, Orchestra Hall\, The Walker Art Center\, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and more.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7-9pm – Sam and Matthew Miltich\n \n\nSam Miltich <https://www.sammiltichmusic.com/> is a self-taught jazz guitarist born and raised in the woods of northern Minnesota. Sam burst on the scene in his teens as a young lion of gypsy jazz\, joining Paul Mehling’s Hot Club of San Francisco and touring internationally with the world-renowned Robin Nolan Trio.  Sam’s fluid and instinctive sound has graced hundreds of stages\, from small towns on the Iron Range to New York’s Lincoln Center. Sam Miltich is a fiscal year 2025 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Sam will be joined by his father Matthew on bass.

DESCRIPTION:Dean Magraw (guitar) + Suwal Singh (tabla) explore\, extend\, and celebrate their music at MetroNOME. Their duo is a unique expression of the interplay between strings and percussion – featuring the sonic cornucopia of tabla weaving into the colorful vibrations of guitar – melodies\, grooves\, laughter\, tears\, heart – hear it\, heal it. \nBios:\nDean Magraw has had a life of music—playing\, composing\, arranging\, producing\, and recording. Magraw’s music is impossible to pigeonhole. For 15 years\, he was half of a duo with Peter Ostroushko (mandolin). He has collaborated with Masahiro Nitta (shamisen)\, Nigel Kennedy (classical violin)\, Nirmala Rajasekar (vina); with singers Bruce Henry\, Ruth MacKenzie\, Claudia Schmidt; and with the Irish supergroup Altan. As a jazz cat\, he has been performing with Chris Bates + Jay Epstein as Red Planet since 2002\, and more recently formed BluLuna. \nSuwal Singh has contributed to the Minnesota music scene as part of SitarTabla (Eastern classical)\, MoMoSauce (Nepali music)\, Yeti Steady (avant-garde soundscapes)\, Jest (pop-rock) and MajMin (world music). He has collaborated with diverse local artists and has appeared at Jazz Central Studios\, Icehouse\, Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center\, Berlin Jazz Club\, KFAI\, Landmark Center\, Dunsmore Jazz Room\, etc.

Between us\, we have 15 kids\, a collection of respectable day jobs\, and exactly zero free weekends. \nWe play because live music is one of the few things that still gets strangers vibing together. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS HERE \nFuzzy Math has been a fixture on the Twin Cities scene for well over a decade now.  The group is led by Mark Vandermyde\, a classically-trained pianist and organist who began migrating from Mozart to Miles in middle school\, studied composition at Harvard University\, and banged around with blues bands for a while after college until rediscovering his love of jazz\, and writing\, and writing jazz.  Since then he’s managed to surround himself with some of the finest players in town (Andrew Schwandt on tenor sax\, Matt Peterson on bass and Haralds Bondaris on drums) to help him bring to life his vision of creating music that’s interesting\, accessible and fun…serious music that doesn’t take itself too seriously\, and offers something for everyone.  They recently released their 5th CD unveiling a new iteration of their uniquely eclectic blend of original songs and creative pop/rock/folk covers for which the StarTribune once named them to its Best of Minnesota list for “best jazz act for people bored with jazz”.  Racket (successor to the City Pages arts beat) called them “fluid as hell…generously melodic…alternately tender and brawny…nuanced…this is jazz that never gets too far out but never dawdles too close to home – a genuine sweet spot.” \nTICKETS HERE
