Adam Wolff is a jazz pianist based in San Diego, California. He plays with a strong
groove/blues element, in the style of Gene Harris. Ahmad Jamal is also a strong
influence- while living New York City for many years, he had the good fortune to
study and record with two of Jamal’s drummers. His travels brought him to the
Twin Cities several years ago, and he started playing gigs with local musicians here
in 2023 at Metronome, Crooners, and other venues.
This year he will be re-joining forces with the great bassist Tom Lewis, and will be
playing for the first time with the legendary Nathan Norman. These two musicians
have been a part of the jazz scene here for many years, and Wolff is looking
forward to the creative and synergistic results combining these three musicians in
Fingal’s Cave. (Fingal’s has one of the best pianos in town, if you didn’t know!)
Expect to hear swinging and soulful jazz with a mix of jazz classics, songs from the
Great American Songbook, and a few originals.
