Celebrate Women’s History Month (March) a little early with the Mill City String Quartet! 

This powerful program shines a spotlight on trailblazing female composers including Florence Price, Salina Fisher, Missy Mazzoli, and Franghiz Ali-Zadeh. Performed by the all-female MCSQ, the concert highlights the bold, beautiful, and boundary-pushing voices shaping classical music today. Don’t miss this inspiring evening of music and celebration!

6-7pm  Alvaro Henrique 
Alvaro Henrique has toured 20+ countries, was awarded in competitions in Brazil, Canada and the USA, challenging what it means to be a classical musician, guitarist and Brazilian.  Alvaro will perform “Star Wars for Classical Guitar”.

7-9pm Duo CORDA 
 
From Astor Piazzolla and Joaquín Rodrigo to Chick Corea, Django Reinhardt and much more, plus some original material – that’s the repertoire of Duo CORDA.
 
Jacqueline Ultan is a singularly creative cellist and composer. Also a dedicated teacher, Ultan is on the faculty of MacPhail’s Center for Music and holds a Master’s Degree in Performance from Yale University.
