Garrett Jones is a Minneapolis-based bassoonist and composer known for his cross-genre bassoon techniques and jazz bassoon recordings. His original compositions for bassoon and rhythm section bring Western classical compositional techniques to an improvisational setting. He has performed in jazz clubs in Minneapolis and Phoenix, and has been an invited performer at the conference of the International Double Reed Society.

            Jones will be joined by a stellar local rhythm section, featuring:

                        Ben Ehrlich, drums

            The quartet will be playing compositions from Jones’ previous releases, Tributaries (2023) and Vestiges (2022), as well as unreleased material.
