Yes it's Jazz Fest! But also, it's Juneteenth. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” At MetroNOME, we're proud to be a Black-owned brewery where music brings people together and where every performance and every young musician we support helps build a stronger future. Juneteenth reminds us to celebrate how far we've come while recognizing that the work of creating a more just and equitable society continues. Progress is a challenge, but there is still more to do to ensure opportunity, dignity, and belonging for everyone. We believe that every note played, every performance in the Cave, and every young person inspired through music helps bend that arc a little further. Today we honor the past, celebrate the present, and hopefully recommit ourselves to building a future where freedom and opportunity are experienced by all.
