Minnesota Guitar Society Monthly- It's a FREE SHOW people! :) 6-7pm – Gabriela Sweet Gabriela plays instrumentals & songs with words: jazz, son montuno, festejo, zydeco, American standards, blues, and sings in Spanish, English, French, Gaelic, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Tagalog, and Ukrainian. 7-9pm – Pavel Jany and Dean Harrington Pavel has founded several international jazz projects on the Twin Cities’ music scene, including Brazilian jazz ensemble Ticket To Brazil, instrumental trio Talking Strings, and jazz/fusion group Global Jazz Collegium. Dean Harrington has been exclusively a jazz musician performing with his own band Mill City Hot Club and other local groups. He is proud of his work as a guitar teacher for over 30 years at K & S Conservatory of Music in Woodbury, The Music Lab in Minneapolis, and Mount Olivet School of Music in Edina. @Minnesota Guitar Society

TONIGHT! FREE SHOW! DON'T MISS :) North Star Jazz Workshops Fall Member concert. About: January 2025, we launched our first ensembles. Since then, North Star has continued to grow into a broader community of musicians, instructors, and collaborators. What started as a few small groups has expanded to include classes, private lessons, jam sessions, clinics, workshops, and special events. Across everything we offer, we help musicians make space for that creative practice in their lives. Whether someone is joining an ensemble, taking a class, studying privately, attending a clinic, or showing up at a jam session, the goal is the same: to create a place where musicians can keep developing their sound, deepen their relationship with jazz, and stay connected to a community of people who are learning alongside them.
