Zacc Harris is a Minneapolis-based guitarist, composer, and bandleader who has been an integral part of the Twin Cities jazz scene since 2005, earning the honor of Best Jazz Artist in 2017 by City Pages. A dynamic performer and composer, Harris leads and contributes to a range of acclaimed projects, including the Atlantis Quartet—recipient of a 2015 McKnight Fellowship and named Best Jazz Artist in 2011—as well as the Zacc Harris Group, American Reverie, and the Zacc Harris Trio.
He has toured extensively across the U.S. and U.K., with standout performances such as a 2016 engagement at London’s legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and a featured spot on the main stage of the 2022 Twin Cities Jazz Festival. His 2021 release Small Wonders earned a 4-star review from DownBeat Magazine and landed on its Best Albums of the Year list. His latest album, Chasing Shadows, has drawn critical acclaim, with JazzWise Magazinepraising his compositions for “exploring the kind of big-sky generous melodicism pioneered by artists like Metheny and Gary Burton,” adding that “his timing and articulation are beyond reproach and his imagination extensive.”
